Dr. Erin Kincaid leads clinicians, group facilitators, and practitioners in a 5-part video series on ministering and counseling parents who themselves at odds with, or estranged from, their children. This 3-hour continuing education workshop explores the emotional, spiritual, and relational wounds parents experience when their children stray from faith, values, or connection, and equips counselors to walk with them through restoration and hope. Participants will examine the dynamics of parental grief, shame, and endurance while learning Biblically integrated strategies for healing, communication repair, and healthy boundary-setting. Designed for licensed therapists, pastoral counselors, biblical counseling students, and small group facilitators, this course combines clinical skills with theological depth, offering practical interventions, reflective exercises, and case-based discussions to strengthen both the counselor’s competence and the parent’s resilience. This class constitutes 4 CE Units, and certificates of completion will be issued after completion of the class (within 5-7 business days).
